Winners VII Contest Educating the Eye

THE CONTEST HAS RECEIVED A TOTAL OF 385 PROJECTS.

Castell-Platja d’Aro, May 08, 2020. After checking the material received from the 12 finalists, the jury already has its verdict and announces the 5 winners of the “Educating the Eye” photographic projects contest.

Within the framework of the photographic activities of Fotoplatjadaro organized by the Photographic Association Educating the Look, the Mercè Rodoreda Library has convened this photographic contest for another year.

With a total of € 5,250 in prizes, the contest aims to stimulate and financially reward the photographic projects of authors who are capable of surprising and exciting; to transfer your own vision of your personal world or of what surrounds you.

With a total of 385 projects received, consisting of 4,146 photographs, 313 authors from 41 different countries have participated in this VII edition, with styles, themes and techniques of great variety and quality. The jury, made up of 3 specialists from the photographic world, has selected the following 5 winners from 12 finalists (in alphabetical order):

WINNERS

  • First Prize: Antonio Aragon Renuncio (Spain) – Childhood lost
  • Second Prize: Jui Ching Tai (Taiwan) – After night
  • Third Prize: Tony Tirado (Spain) – Oxímoron
  • Young Prize: Javier Clemente Martinez (Spain) – Pastors
  • Local Prize: Alba Jovani (Spain) – Efímero
