Since 2014 Fotoplatjadaro has brought photographic culture to amateurs and professionals through courses, seminars, competitions and Photographic Conferences in different settings in the municipality of Castell-Platja d’Aro and s’Agaró.
An initiative of the city council of Castell-Platja d’Aro and s’Agaró and the library Mercè Rodoreda, the coordination of its activities is in charge of the Photographic Association « Educating the Eye », formed by Diego Espada , Alicia Bada and Muriel C de Jong , photographers and communication professionals.

The Castell-Platja d’Aro Photographic Days annually offer a set of workshops, conferences and masterclasses by renowned national and international photographers, who invite you to learn, experiment and think about photography. Each year a “fil rouge” is established, a theme on which these activities are developed.
In this year 2023, our tenth anniversary, we invite you to join us in this new edition of the conference, where we will talk about“Photography in transformation“. We review the changes in the field of photography in the last decade, how we have gone from analog to digital photography in a century, and from digital with camera to the generation of images by mobile and computer in just a decade.
