The Mercè Rodoreda Library and the Educando la Mirada Association present a new initiative in the field of photography and video: the space for audiovisual creation and learning and Artificial Intelligence: The BiblioLAB.
BiblioLAB is the “photographic laboratory” of the Mercè Rodoreda Library and FotoPlatjadaro; It is a service open to professionals and amateurs of photography, as well as for anyone who wants to “educate their gaze” and improve their understanding about reading images and knowledge of artificial intelligence.
The activities are open to citizens, creators and professionals (both photographers and non-photographers, of all ages), to collaborations with other municipal entities, and to the promotion of inter-institutional collaboration.
In an environment saturated with digital and visual content, often manipulable or generated with artificial intelligence, it is essential to learn to understand, evaluate and create it.
Libraries, as spaces for access to knowledge, have a strategic role in this literacy. The Mercè Rodoreda Library takes on this challenge with the BiblioLAB, offering activities and training in research, creation and experimentation in the field of (audio)visual and AI throughout the year.
The project provides specialized resources such as space, audiovisual equipment, software and computer material.
Participation is free, with prior registration.
On this website you can find the workshops, talks and tutored and experimentation sessions organized by the Educating La Mirada Photographic Association. You can also consult the municipal agenda to learn about other activities.
