15 Jul Finalists of the XI Educating the Eye Contest
We are pleased to announce the finalists of the XI Photographic Project Contest “Educating the Eye”!
We have received no less than 419 projects, from 338 authors from 52 countries, with a total of 4,438 photographs (!).
After a difficult evaluation by our jury, made up of experts in photography and art, we now have the finalists of this edition. With the very high level of the projects presented, we have found a tie in some scores, so this year we have 11 finalists instead of 10!
The finalists are:
- Ali Yousefi (Iran), “Homeless” project
- Denis Begletz. (Russia), project “Residential complex “New Life””
- Hanna Jarzabek (Madrid), project “La Jungla”
- Javier Arcenillas (Madrid), project “Sleepers”
- Josep Boada (Girona), project “The Silence of the Species”
- Juan Luis Duran Guinot (Valencia), project “Miners”
- Leyla Emektar (Turkey), project “White Infinity”
- Lorenzo Linthout (Italy), project “Lonely Windows”
- Mahdi Zabolabbasi (Iran) project “Spinning”
- Marina Fernández Fernández (Barcelona), project “Veintiocho”
- Subrata Dey (Bangladesh), project “Dissonance Harmony”
Every year the choice of projects is different, some years more artistic or conceptual projects come out, others, like this year, the projects stand out mostly for the human aspect.
From the Mercè Rodoreda Library and the Educating the Eye Photographic Association we want to thank all the participants for their incredible projects, their dedication to the art of photography, and their commitment to creativity and visual exploration of the world. Thank you!
We will personally contact the finalists for the next step, which is to send the files in high resolution, for verification.
The winners will be announced on July 30.
