Photography & video courses spring 2020

You already know how your camera works and your photos are getting better and better, but you want to learn more? We will soon be starting two new courses that will expand your photographic knowledge:

Introductory course to video with a camera: push your limits.

Duration:12 sessions of 3 hours each, on Mondays from 2 March to 18 May 2020.

This is a course where you will learn how our reflex, mirrorless or compact camera works as a video camera, what are the basic technical concepts of video recording and editing and the sound that will accompany our recordings; as well as the fundamental elements of cinematographic language, shots, sequences, ellipsis, editing, etc. etc.

This course is designed for people who have a camera with video function and want to take advantage of these features of their equipment.

For the editing of our work we will work with different programmes, but above all with Davinci Resolve, a sufficient and free software.

Intermediate level course in photo retouching, with a duration of 12 sessions of 3 hours each, on Wednesdays (4 March to 20 May 2020).

This is a course for people with basic or advanced knowledge of camera use, students who start from scratch can do it if they are committed to work. In this course we work from the beginning on photographic retouching, focusing on two programs: Capture One and Photoshop.

We will see how to adjust an image captured in Raw from Capture One and how to retouch it with Photoshop.
We will work on luminosity, levels, cloning, patching, layers, masks, channels, … and the different tools and techniques that allow us to manipulate an image with depth and quality through the software in order to achieve more powerful and better finished photographs.
It will not be a digital editing course, but a photo retouching course, but we will make selections and basic editing.
Classes will be demonstrative and students can bring their laptop and/or practice at home.

Price: 75€ each course
