An introduction to photography and visual language

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
This course works at a theoretical and essentially practical level on three aspects:

• The photographic vision; what is a photograph (the power of the still image) and how to enhance and develop vision as a photographer: composition, visual acculturation.
• The identification of the aspects of the shot: point of view, framing, format and reading of the image.
• The photographic technique: how a camera works, what are the objectives, the diaphragm, the speed, the depth of field, the optical distortion… knowing the capabilities and limitations of our equipment and correctly using our tool, be it a mobile phone or a camera.
• Digital files and the rudiments of retouching. What is a file and what types of files are there; What does a retouching program do (whether by mobile device or by photographic cameras) what elements can we modify in an image and why do we do it.
