Workshop: Promptography: from text to professional images with AI

Boris Eldagsen won the creative open category at the Sony World Photography Award in early 2023 with his work “Pseudomnesia: The Electrician”. The eerie black and white image shows two women of different generations: the older woman appears to be clinging to the younger woman from behind. Boris made the news, not only for winning this award, but for rejecting it: the winning image was created by artificial intelligence, and therefore, it was not considered a photograph.

The objective of this intensive 3-hour workshop is to form a solid foundation for AI imaging. Participants will learn the 13 elements of text prompts, the 5 basic rules, 10 prompting strategies and text prompt adjustment techniques.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

Text-based indications for practitioners (Promptology I). Boris teaches the basics of text prompts and explains how professional prompts are based on them. The knowledge presented will be tested and deepened in practical LIVE exercises (“quick battles”). Boris shares his tricks to “whisper prompts” quickly.

Approach: Generation of images through text via DALL E2, Midjourney, Dreamstudio, Adobe Firefly.

Content: The 13 prompt elements, the 5 basic prompt rules, AI as knowledge amplifier, 10 prompt strategies, text prompt setting (aspect ratio / negative prompt / seed / weights / style / mosaic / chaos / multiple prompts / permutation prompt), prompt lengths, prompt styles, prompt experiments, text in image, image to text.

For: creatives of any orientation (photographers, artists, designers), image editors, art directors.

The workshop will be conducted in English, and a person will be present to clarify specific translation doubts.

We will connect virtually with Boris from Masia Bas. Participants can bring their laptop to practice with Boris “live”.
